Fast food has gone into ludicrous mode...at least in the States
I visit where they pushed through special wage hikes for the fast
food industry (often $20/hr or higher). It's cheaper to go into a
full service restaurant most of the time these days. But the
17 year old behind the counter is making 40K a year, so it's all
good.
yep case in point: 5 Guys - get a double cheeseburger meal,
fries, drink, $26? like WTF, I can go to Texas Roadhouse and buy
one of their large burgers for $15, or a local pub where the
burgers are amazing for 12 to 15. It's just nuts

Yeah, true. I think In 'n Out is still relatively reasonable, but unfortunately that doesn't span all the way to the Midwest.
Denny's was the big shocker to me. Double the prices of five years ago, if my estimates are right.
