Matt, being newer to the site, I am having a hard time
understanding the "trigger" definition. I don't understand
#3 - is that for the SPY and if so, how does one know a higher sell
from a lower buy

Yes, VIX is the volatility index of the S&P 500, and the
state of the close the day after the day VIX first closes outside
of the Bollinger Band is the buy/sell signal on the S&P 500
index
VIX - on Tuesday it closed above it's upper BB then reversed
down and closed below yesterday (SPX buy signal) - simple as that
but this is simply a tool - trade YOUR PLAN. If you don't have a
plan - refrain from trading. Make sure you are taking some
profits and raising stops - remain prudent
