I have the KISS systems auto running futures for me - been
working very well, completely automated bots - it's like having a
dozen soldiers doing work for me during the day and overnight
(trades can and do occur overnight)
I'm running KISS on 7 times frames of ES - 10 min, 23 min, 46
min, 138 min, 276 min, 345 min, and 460 min - all automated - why
all these different time frames and not one? It's the shotgun
approach, they can be in similar trades and overlap, but also do
different trades, and creates an averaging effect. Also why
the weird time frames such as 23 min, 138 min? It's because there
are 1380 min in the ES daily bar, all these time frames divide
evenly into 1380
2K Russell futures: 138 min, 230 min, 345 min, 460 min
CL crude oil futures - for now only running 30 min
plan to add more such as bond futures, gold, Eurostoxx 50
etc
obviously these cannot realistically be sent to the website as
alerts - whos going to be around at 3:30 am when one of these takes
a trade? Has to be completely automated.
The only other options would be to use that old broker that has
a service where they run the systems and execute the trades (but I
have to give them the system) or lease them, which again I don't
know about that, I'd have to charge quite a lot, then there's
security other things - and I don't want 50 people with orders all
going off at the exact same time creating slippage - so some
staggered effect would have to be created where the systems would
send only so many orders at one time, for example if there's a
signal, send a max of 20 contracts, and wait 1 min to send the next
batch and so on to stagger them - seems too complicated - maybe I
should do a hedge fund or something if this works out - for now
best for me to just run them to see how they perform over time
I'm not showing these to make you jealous, simply showing fun
things that I'm running on the side
Check out the collective2 and striker. BTW- how do you
like auto-trading with TS? All good until the system freezes for
500th time. I even have TS running on a server and its still slow
as hell. I don't autotrade yet but have considered it.
it's been fine - granted had to build a supercomputer, which is
freakin fast and rock solid. make sure to turn off auto
backups, you don't want TS running a backup in the middle of the
night and logging out, or schedule them to run once on weekend
