use some discretion here with some of that stuff - the way trend
systems work, they catch big runners, then are prone to a whipsaw
or 2 before the next trender - the market has been on a tear with
the KISS systems catching big winners on a lot of stuff and I could
see some recent longs that may trigger end up being whips. The last
appl trade was a winner. otherwise risk is defined at least
as far as the market - the question remains, did we put in a top
here for that wave (iv) of 3, or could we put in one more move to
complete it
and that's the thing about systems and trading in general that
make it different. Trading is easy in concept but very difficult in
reality because of emotions, discipline, trading style, risk
tolerance, having a plan or not having one, etc.
Because the trending systems typically only have about 50% to
60% winning trades you get quite a few whipsaws. Usually you get
one after the system catches a big trending move, but not
always.Because you never know, one idea might be to vary the bet
size - let's say your default trade size waz $10K and the system
had just recently closed out a a nice big trending move - the next
trade has higher to be a whipsaw, maybe you drop the trade size
down a bit example to 8K or 7K. You could choose not to take the
trade, but again some people just like to follow the system trades
since you never know if the trade is going to be a whipsaw or not,
so the varying of bet size is one idea on that. Then if you do end
up getting the whipsaw trade, chances are higher again for the next
one to be a winner so you can move the size back up to the
10K.
again that's what makes trading not black and white - always
emotions and other things to consider

looks like GOOGL and AAPL may trigger off these, they are based on the VIX-like volatility index for these, VXGOGX for Google, and VXAPL.X for AAPL
