Would it be smart to just sell all my UNG or trail up a stop
here? This upcoming week is looking nasty in Chicago but I think
the market would already be baking in anything they see 1-2 weeks
out, is that the proper way of looking at it?

From Tommy Thornton today:
On the Trade Ideas sheet I am selling the UNG Natural Gas ETN I
added this morning because I now hear they announced a reverse
split. The good news I'm taking a 3% gain. I still like
Natural Gas however too much too soon could see pullback and the
structure of UNG is not great.

UNG is a serial gapper. I personally wouldn't trust my gains to
stops. You could replace some of your stock with calls to
limit your risk or sell puts (the latter wouldn't reduce your risk
but it does give you a premium buffer).

Yeah this can easily gap down >50 cents tomorrow and I'd be
kicking myself... once you lose on so many single
stocks you forget how to sell a winner LOL

UNG - 40 cent move down. MA ribbon pinching from
underneath. It's outside of upper bollinger bands and RSI above 70.
This could make a few widows again here soon...or not.

UNG - 65 cents premium in February 23 expiration at the money
puts. 10% for a little over a month. I'm in this trade
but I have been selling UNG puts for over a year now....cost basis
is nil at this point (playing with house money).

I sold at 6.60, was going to at 6.80 but work has been slammed during Dec month-end close so I got sidetracked unfortunately...
