This administration will do whatever necessary to keep the
domestic energy industry down... because of who / what region in
America it potentially enriches. Just look at the record if you
doubt that idea. If Northern California was an oil Mecca like Texas
or North Dakota , we wouldn't be doing a deal with Iran .
Interestingly, it's also not a great investment when the GOP is in
power because too much supply comes to market.
My brother was a mud engineer in California for 33 years and
there were at least 7 times when he was out of work do to
recessions and economic downturns. Each lasted at least 2 to 3
years at least . Sorry to see GOP releases more OIL but is that
such a bad thing.

Nope. I've got nothing against more supply as a citizen.
Expensive energy in this country is a political construct and a
failure of Gov. When it comes to portfolio management though, it's
important to realize when you're dealing with a political
football...or you will be unpleasantly surprised by unexpected
price action. E.g.Nat gas is a widow maker for two reasons 1.
Climate scientists can't predict their way out of a paper bag 2.
It's a political football. Stay clear of pharma in election years.
Etc, etc.
