I have ChatGPT creating strategies for me in Pine Script from
very plain language prompts. BUT, it choked when I asked if it
could backtest and optimize the strategies for me. The
capability is there - I've seen it demonstrated - but clearly it's
not going to be free (and I'm still on GPT 3.5)
World is going to be defined by those that can afford the
super AI and those who can't. A year from now, can anyone
really afford not to have access? This revolution isn't going
to wait for the older generations like the more slow moving
revolutions we've experienced in the last 30 years or so.
yep it's a very powerful tool, but that's what it is and should
be used as, a tool to help save you time, just like a calculator
saves you a lot of time crunching large numbers than the old days
when you had to do it by hand or slide rule, or a BoDozer saves you
time digging large areas of land vs doing it by hand with a shovel,
it's a tool . It's not good for creatively coming up with the ideas
- for example if you just ask it to create a trading strategy using
RSI and MACD etc, it will come up with something but it's not a
system you should take seriously. You need to come up with the
ideas and parameters of the strategy and tell it exactly what you
want - a time saver tool basically

Interesting idea DigiNomad.
3/3 scripts I've tried won't compile out of the box and two had
serious flaws in logic, but the overall structure is pretty sound.
To Matt's point a great time saver. It is also a very
quick way to learn the language - easy to get examples of what you
are trying to do.
