Very weak tax receipts compared to previous year (not surprising
with the carnage last year). Biden is clueless making
statements about shrinking the deficit. Debt ceiling likely
coming faster with such poor receipts.

And the Dems spending is tying the Feds hands on rate hikes.
The Fed can't say anything because they have to maintain
independence, but it's clearly an issue that the Fed is being
hamstrung by the executive and legislative branches continuing to
spend like drunken sailors (I think we can drop the purse strings
argument at this point since Biden has consistently found ways to
spend hundreds of billions on Ukraine and student debt without
congressional approval...that ship has sailed).

I assume you mean the Administrative State. As a high level
alum, I definitely have to agree. If we (collectively) didn't
like a executive or legislative mandate, we simply didn't implement
and/or enforce it. Self policing organization so you can
guess about the people assigned to the enforcement sections of each
agency. Hiring authorities aren't in a huge rush to put in people
who will constrain the power of their bosses.
Any other alums out there will know about the dotted
line game played with agency org charts. There was always a dotted
line from the policy enforcement official around their day to day
COC to the Agency Head. The fallacy being pushed here was that the
agency head (e.g. The Director of the FBI) always had impeccable
judgment and fealty to the nations rules and regulations and was
not swayed by personal relationships within the agency. Yeah right.
Guess how well that works out in actual practice?

Consider the UN-elected 4th branch of government. You need an executive stooge to pull it off and 6 ways from Sunday to enforce it.
