Funny to see my CPA wondering where all the interest
income came from on my 2022 1099. He said "did you buy a CD or
something?" I then told him about the fact that IBKR pays over 4%
on uninvested cash...no need to tie up capital with a CD.
Mind blown. CPA's are funny critters sometimes. They
obviously provide a CRITICAL service, but I haven't met a lot that
I would want managing my money. For CPA's in this forum, I'm sure
you are the exception....most CPA's don't look at market
technicals.

Yeah, I've been with IBKR for over 15 years now....but I use
them primarily for execution only. I use other platforms for pre
trade analysis (TastyWorks, TOS, TradingView, etc)
Not sure if this is true, but for a while the CIA, to force
terrorists to talk, was forcing them to trade ES with the IB
platform. Congress decided it was cruel and unusual punishment. So
they went back to waterboarding. Great wknd everyone!
yeah our tax software costs alone are 40 grand not to mention
what we have to pay to retain staff from the large firms.....may be
better to go solo and investments on the side
