Thanks for the update, Matt. This market is very difficult to day trade because of overnight gaps without knowing this information!

    ?? has nothing to do

Posted by matt on 29th of Mar 2023 at 11:18 am

?? has nothing to do with overnight gaps, this shows ES futures - you have the URL or should have as I've posted it 30 times, those cycles showed up this morning, not yesterday, you could have looked at it this morning, has nothing to do with overnight gaps

also I'm not posting that image as something to act on in real time, just showing examples, for you to make trade decisions you need to be looking at the charts, not waiting for me to post an education example

otherwise the market got stretched this morning and pulled back, now we'll see what it does the rest of the day. GDX and GLD pulled back, both have been trading inverse to the SPX

    Matt, you comments are noted.

Matt, you comments are noted. Thank you. I do not have a tradingview account. Is there a version of that script for Think-or-Swim (ToS), which is free of charge? I believe that DeMark indicator is available in ToS.

    TOS code is not very

Posted by matt on 29th of Mar 2023 at 11:38 am

TOS code is not very capable and can't do a lot of the strategies and code that we run, we looked into it. It can run some indicators etc, but we don't have any incentive to spend time developing stuff for TOS considering we have too many things on our plate as usual and we also don't have TOS accounts.  The Demark is available at TOS, not the cycle indicator and A indicator. You should be able to make a form of that MA ribbon there that I use, you won't have the BPT MA Deluxe that I use but you can try to use some sort of Hull MA in place, it's not the same but close enough

TradingView is nice because you don't need to run software that slows the computer. You can link it up to many brokers, I have not seen if TOS is one of the supported brokers, that's one thing to check.

    TONS of great proprietary indicators

TONS of great proprietary indicators on TOS. Plus a ThinkSctript site where traders share code of their own. https://usethinkscript.com/forums/indicators.3/

Pro.  The 9, 13 and As come from Matt's layouts.  If you open one of his links, you can then copy it and do whatever yo want to it.  Or just view it the way he has it.

So I can get the basic service and then just cut and paste mats links into that and I’ll get the same  indicators he posts

Yes.  I think the only thing with basic is you can't have multiple charts in 1 window like most of Matt's layouts have.

And you don't have to copy paste anything, just click on one of the many links he has posted with these.

    Thank you

Posted by junkie on 29th of Mar 2023 at 11:43 am

I will need a bigger graphics card with 8GB instead of 6GB for a third trading app, LoL! I am already running TradeStation and ToS for various indicators at the same time. ToS is a graphics memory hog!

    I run both as well

Posted by Glad on 29th of Mar 2023 at 12:14 pm

I run both as well but Tradestation on my desktop and TOS on a large screen laptop next to it.  I have both programs on both so I can switch during snafus

    Yeah, well that is true.

In follow up to Matt's comment.  TOS is not listed as a TradingView broker.
