Certainly a precarious setup ... it's not like both bull and
bear patterns are calling for a bounce. We lost the STS on
the SPY, lots of bear looks (CAT,NFLX,NVDA and always TSLA), did
not manage to get back above the channel on the 195 min and in fact
got rejected from it's trendline yesterday. The monthly Steve
just shared looks bearish for March, Greenback and 10Yr don't
appear to show any signs of slowing. Then there is the
positive, TV talking heads sound pretty negative tonight, there are
some positive divergences, VIX close back inside it's bands (I
think) and the Systems are saying plug your nose and buy, buy, buy
... hope it's not bye, bye bye :)
On seasonality, a recent
sentimenttrader.com email
I received pointed out that "stocks tend to be strong March - July,
especially in pre-election years." Certainly not a signal, or even
a specific key indicator on the charts, but good to keep in the
back of the mind.
I don't post a lot on the blog; but, I actually chuckled out
loud when I read your last sentence: "the Systems are saying plug
your nose and buy, buy, buy ... hope it's not bye, bye bye :)"
Yes, as Matt points out, when the Systems are performing their
best, you feel at your worst. I think we are in such a period
now; but, hanging in there.

I'm pleased to aim :) I was always the class clown ... but
also a straight A student. If i can make 1 person smile,
laugh or feel good every day, my life is worth living. If BPT
can make me a $1 a day, it's worth the subscription - wait,
is that a wash ? In all honesty, bpt has a fantastic
community here with a wealth of knowledge and experience, just wish
the blog and website were on tech steroids but the good news is
everything works which is job 1 - always a wish list and a always a
reality check. I wish, hope, pray that the market will reward
all of us long into March, please don't let me have to write a
reality check.

Ha, I should have said entertaining and educational. As the
current resident Grizzly of the BPT community, you always provide a
very useful counterpoint to those of a more bullish / kool-aid
drinking (delete as applicable) disposition.
Certainly a precarious setup ...

Seems to me that there are more here of the bearish persuasion than bullish.
