Good newsletter Matt. I know you touched on it, but I think
mass-market psychology is far more important than most people think
to end the bear. The old magazine cover indicator is an example,
and my barber talking about the stock market is another. As for
those bear rallies, that's up to your volatility stomach to
decide.
exactly! that's what bear markets do - it's not just some simple
price retracement like CNCB touts - bear markets are deep enough
and long enough to wear you out with time, it changes psychology of
the collective masses. Strong corrections like Feb/Mar 2020 didn't
change the mentality - people still looked at dip buying the stocks
that were in vogue. Early during a bear market people still
focus on those old leaders for quite a while, looking at places to
buy them - by the end of a bear all that is gone. Many are no
longer interested in stocks for a while, and new stock leaders
emerge to lead the new bull market.
Good newsletter Matt. I know
