If you're talking about the "9/39 system" crossing, I don't think that it officially did cross by 3:45 pm (I was watching.)  So, according to the rules, you can't consider it crossed until the end of the last bar of the day, i.e. 4:00 pm.  I agree that it would have been a nice quick profit if it had managed to cross by 3:45.  Now the question is, does this mean to short SRS (or buy URE) at the open on Monday?  It seems too far removed from today's close, but I think that's what the system calls for.  Maybe I'll wait to see how it opens, to avoid a whipsaw if it gaps higher.  Can anyone else confirm or correct my thinking on this?

I had it cross on the 3:45 bar for a nice move into the close.

Always great if you made some money however the MAs might cross back and forth during the formation of a bar so you "jumped the gun" if you entered before the close of the bar. I too am under the impression that the "correct" entry is the open on Monday. I also agree that that sounds pretty scary but I guess if I had the system on auto pilot it wouldn't care about my fear  Surprised

I'm not sure the system has you enter a trade the next day if it crosses on the last candle of the previous day. Can anyone clarify this?

one question. I have the 9 and 39 crossing around 11am for a short sell on the 15 min chart. are you using different paramaters when your charts are showing the cross just before the close?

I think that you are including extended hours in your EMAs.  You should be using only regular hours.
