Matt, have you considered TradingView platform? It seems to
offer excellent charting, quotes, etc. Just curious as I'm looking
to change from StockCharts to something a bit more user
friendly.
I have an an account at Trading view but there is NO WAY it can
be used to replace our newsletters the way we have Stockcharts
actually integrated into our server - I showed this on the Zoom
meeting a couple times. It's what enables us to build
newsletters quickly with 50 -80 charts. If we had to do that
manually by saving screen shots of the charts and loading them into
the newsletter it would add 2 - 3 hrs at least. We do NOT
save chart images from Stockcharts and post them here like you guys
do. We literally just click a button to add a chart to the
newsletter or trading community. Also we have 1000's and
1000's of charts and many custom indicators that are not available
there or would take months and years to re create.
again for you guys Trading View is awesome, but for building
newsletters, Stockharts is better
Matt- did you notice the balloon indicator on trendspider...Its
amazing. comes very handy especially when stocks try to break out
and also in understanding DOJI candlesticks
thanks, I have not heard of them. But then again I have enough
damn software at this point coming out my eyeballs:
Stockcharts for the newsletters, Trading View, Tradestation,
Ninja Trader, TS 2000 etc and way too many brokers: IB,
Tradestation, AMP futures, Think Or Swim, Etrade Pro, Fidelity,
for me I'm trying to narrow things down. Having this
website actually hurts Steve and I from a focus standpoint. Steve
used to be a member - all he did was use the newsletter for trade
ideas and some market stuff, then setup his alerts and quote lists
at night and focus on those the next day. now both him and I
are pulled in every direction from trading to posting stuff,
managing multiple accounts, also analyzing markets, commodities,
precious metals and tons of trade ideas.
the best traders out there laser focus on something and have a
strategy they stick to. Be a specialist not a jack of all
trades. Whether that's focusing on a 2/3 or a handful of trade
ideas only or even only doing trade ideas that have coils only.
focusing only on precious metal stocks, focusing only on the
indexes. Or even focusing on a few pet stocks so you really
know how they trade: One guy here trades MSFT and has a system for
trading it. For me I like to trade coil stock patterns and tight
flag patterns. I also like to day trade ES futures and I have
a system for it
Matt, I have no idea how you do all the things you do and I
admire you for accomplishing all you do. You are pulled in so many
directions. I can't help but believe that you and Steve will have
to add more members to your team over time. I am not a trader. I
manage about $250 million of assets primarily for one client
family. I use a lot of technical analysis in my work and have
plenty of resources to help me. I stumbled across you guys several
years ago and have always been impressed. You do really great work
that I always find extremely insightful and reliable.

I"m glad you said this. TSLA, SHOP and TWLO represent my
wins for this year. Everything is just noise albeit positive
overall. I'm new to trading, so is it that way all the time?
I don't necessarily think its easy.
