well crude is down 20% currently if that were to be the case tomorrow morning, you could roughly calculate that based off the delta of those options

    Do you have time to

Do you have time to School a young lad on a Sunday, I started trading options in January.

    What do you want to

What do you want to know? USO is indicated at around 6.80 at the moment. If so, puts will be worth around 1.75 ish

    That’s what I wanted, to

That’s what I wanted, to know, do you mind telling me how to calculate that?

    Well you have a 8.50

Posted by racerick on 9th of Mar 2020 at 05:57 am

Well you have a 8.50 put, which gives you the right to sell the stock to someone at that px. If the stock does open say at 6.80, then you have an intrinsic value on the put for the difference in price, which would be $1.70 per share. Won't have much time value because it expires this week. If you own some at that price, good job. going to have a good trade. Indicated around 7 now because oil has bounced a little off it's lows in the futures mkt.
