Take that as your base case. look at the other country
numbers and see how that works out. If that pop you know they did
not report accurately. Also there reporting alone is quite
alarming as cases have doubled in last few days and deaths have
also doubled since Friday.
In order to truly contain the virus, you would have to find
everyone that has the virus and contain them. Millions of
people were not contained because of the Chinese new year, the
majority of the population from Wuhan (where they are saying the
outbreak started at this point) were already gone before the
government put a lock down on citizens of that town. They
are under reporting the cases and we see that now.

The big problem with that is that the Chinese gov't is less than truthful, to put it mildly. Are they really reporting the real numbers?
