So regarding the systems, I'd say it's possible that the last
system could close out tomorrow if the market is up or even
flat.
On a funny side note, the CCI system actually went long again on
Friday one day after we closed out of the CCI trade last week, and
took a 2nd entry yesterday and the new trade closed out for a
nice winning trade today. However I didn't send that trade out for
a couple reasons: 1. with what's going on, and 2. the trade entry
on Friday is not what I would have expected from that CCI sub
system, appears that there's a logic hole in the code that I didn't
account for. It doesn't mean that the logic hole is bad,
maybe that trade condition is good, however it's not a trade I
would have intentionally coded for. How the systems work: I
see a repeatable pattern in the market, I then write up my trade
logic and give to my programmer to code. The CCI system works by
looking for a spike down in the CCI indicator, such as below -250
etc, then proceeds to look for a divergence in price where price
goes lower but CCI works higher. What happened with this last entry
was that the code references the last 6 bars back and wasn't
resetting the divergence after the last trade closed out. Again
what's funny is I can see some past examples of this occurring and
every one of those trades were winners too.
anyway just sharing and sorry that I didn't send out the trade,
it's something I have to investigate later, and of course with
what's going on at my house, my computers are really not even
setup. And my main pc with the systems has water damage and thus I
have the systems on a slower computer.
here's two images of the CCI system, you can see the trade we
took last week, and of course this last trade which I just
discussed above. And of course the historical stats of this sub
system back to 1995
