as you know Steve and I trade the RVM setups on ES futures
during the day when price gets too far extended away from the 5 and
9 EMA's. The trade setups have exact defined entries and
stops and targets which makes them mechanical in nature and risk is
defined.
However in this highly volatile market, you can use this method
to do the same thing with ETF's, even if you dont' wish to hold
overnight, intra day I see very nice setups occurring on 30 and 60
min time frames.

Successfully paper traded the ES 10 min chart, 9:50 am candle,
for 4 1/2 pts. I am using thinkorswim. I will pm you about your
other indicators - and thank you for this most recent video using
ETFs and longer time frames.
nice job frtaylor! yep I traded a 5 min ES and TF this
morning, a nice RVM trade setup, here's an image showing the
entries for ES and TF.
one great guide is the MACD/BB, try to find that indicator, it's
widely available on most platforms, a good confirmation is for the
MACD/BB indicator to get really wide like you see in this
chart
no it's a combination of MACD and Bollinger Bands, will not see
that with histogram, Bollinger bands are standard deviation, that
is not part of the MACD function
do a google search I'm sure someone made a version of it
before
The RVM method we teach works great on ETF's in this volatilty

Matt, would the MACD/BB be the same or similar to the Histogram? I'm using TOS also - hoping I don't have to learn a new platform yet.

not needed (but I'll check it out) - as I say, I already put the BB's on the MACD, no problem.
