Alright guys this is important, the SPY Pro and Ver 2 systems
did NOT close out there long trades this morning on the open and
are still long! I'm gonna be up front and honest with you about
occurred and allow you to decide what to do on your side.
Yesterday as you know the SPY RSI 2 system closed out it's long
position and I stated that the SPY Pro and Ver 2 systems would
close out today on the open....Well they didn't! I saw this
at 8:30 and thought that maybe my TS was buggy so I rebooted it,
which always takes some time, and the positions still show up.
The thing is, I don't really know why it didn't close out, I
built the system 4 years ago so I know the rules, however there are
some odd ball rules and it's possible that one of them are causing
the hold, however I don't know, I'm waiting on my programmer to
verify this:
So what to do now....
1. If you sold the position, the good thing is that it was for a
profit, even the SPY Pro and Ver 2 systems which entered earlier
than the RSI 2 system, you would have still sold SPY above the
price you entered and SPY gapped up today which is nice!
2. What about
Ditto Traders, who have the positions managed for you...well this is to
your benefit this time because normally I send the email to the
trade desk once the market opens vs the previous day, well once the
market opened and I saw that the SPY systems didn't exit, I didn't
send them them email, and I re-booted Tradestation and still didn't
see the exit, so the good news is that
any members who have the Ditto Trade service are still in
the SPY Pro and SPY Ver 2 trades!
3. If you sold the SPY trades, Should you re-enter the trades
now? Well SPY Opened at 211.48 and is now 211.9, so it's only
42 cents difference. I'll leave that up to you, I can't make
that judgement call. Either way you still closed out a
winning trade on the open, so if you miss some profit if the market
goes high, you still made money on the trade.

I wonder why Tradestation was not able to recognize a morning
star at close of business yesterday. There wasn't a lot of
fluctuation in price at the close. Thankfully there was only
a 10cent difference in re-fill price this time.
So am a bit confused. Last notes commentary said to sale
at market this morning, which I did.
Trade was OK as I got on at 209.09 out at 211.49. So
if a change happens in the a.m. that should have kept us in the
trade after lasts nite letter said to sale at market. How were we
to discover that first thing?
I discussed it in great detail via the sticky post read that.
It's a rare trade, you don't have the system on your side you
wouldn't have know about it until I discovered, best to discuss in
email or pms, but read the sticky posts and my replies to it, it
should be clear from that, I wrote about it in great detail
So after investigation the rule that is preventing the SPY Pro
and Ver 2 systems from closing out this morning is the 'morning
star candle' condition, it's a condition where if the system is in
a long trade and a morning star candle occurs, it will hold the
trade for a longer period of time
