SPY system comments

FYI - regarding the SPY systems, here's the deal so far:

    - The SPY Pro system will likely take a long position today if we close down like this

    - The SPY Very 2 system is not yet triggering a long, needs lower prices

    - The SPX Ver 2 system (cash SPX) is still long from June 20th at 1588, and won't close this long until the 34 length Stochastic falls below 80%

    - The SPY RSI 2 system will take a 50% long position at the close if the 2 RSI closes below 10%, you can check this on your own easily by watching a daily chart of SPY with an RSI 2.

Remember you can check the status us of the systems about 5 - 10 min after the close from the Tradestation Systems section of the website, by clicking on the ' Trade' Tab for Basket Performance , this shows all the open trades.  It takes me 5 - 10 min to update this section because I have to manually upload the files to the website and TS does not finalize the daily system trades for about 2 - 3 min after the close because SPY jumps around a bit.

    Some things to consider:

If the market has put in some short of intermediate top, then these systems will probably be buying too early and take some heat - so you have to decide if you wish to take the trades or not.  The SPY systems have had no losing trades a year, the SPY pro system has had about 8 winning trades in a row thus they could be due for a losing trade, however we have thought that way before and been wrong, hence you have to decide for yourself.

Also, If the systems buy into a bad long trade where would they stop out?  The SPY Pro and Ver 2 would stop out on a close back above the 8 day simple moving average (SMA) and the SPY RSI 2 system would stop out on a close back above the 9 day SMA.

    FYI if the SPX closes

FYI if the SPX closes in this range, then none of the systems will be taking any trades because the market would have close too far off the lows and thus the indicators would no longer be oversold

    nice, are you going long
