Would appreciate thoughts on TBT...

Last night I wanted to see if anybody had any thoughts on TBT.  Apparently, the only thing people had an opinion on was trading books...what good is a trading community if one's questions just get ignored?

    FOMC implication

it is the intent of the FOMC to lower 10 year rates, probably  +/-1.00% quite possibly before 2012 is done. TBT is akin to playing with fire imho.

    mfogli1 - we didn't see

mfogli1 - we didn't see your question, at night I look at the blog, but sometimes I quickly scan through it and I just didn't see it, and I had the newsletter to work on.

If you have a pressing question, please just send Steve or myself a PM, it's that simple, this blog is very productive and people share, obviously sometimes a question will be missed, also most members are not here during the evening and when they come back in the morning, posts are buried and they wouldn't see it anyawy

now regrading TBT, I have not had any interest in trading it for a long time, not with the Fed in there and what's been going on in the big picture, I've seen a lot of people since last year try to pick bottoms in TBT and it's been a losing affair.

chart wise, I'd probably focus on the 10 year Yield itself over TBT, since TBT.  For TNX, was a low put back in early June? Possibly but hard to say, if the general market were to re test the lows again this summer or make new lows, then I think we'll see TNX go lower as well as TBT

    No one's ignoring you. Mostly

No one's ignoring you. Mostly likely people are trading other things and no one has a opinion on TBT, I don't.
