First chart is as of yesterday's close, Second is of this
morning's open. We got slightly over 200 after I took the
screen shot Today's morning action has us starting to pop to
a historically topping zone.
here's a tutorial on how to set up the McClellan in your
Tradestation, however this is not ratio adjusted like the one in
Stockcharts.com, however it's probably possible to ratio adjust it
like Stockcharts, or one could do an intra day calculation on the
current price to get it to match the one from Stockcharts, the
reason why that may be useful is because since Stockcharts.com
doesn't update until 1 - 2 hr after the market closes, with this
you can attempt to calculate the Stockcharts.com indicator intra
day vs having to wait until the close
$NYMO but it updates after the close and not intraday.
What is nice about it is that it is ratio adjusted though, meaning
that it normalizes the stats realizing the NYSE has had a different
number of components over time.
