I agree - also the answer to the question is in the system page - I was wondering whether the system will take an extra long on the close here.

SPX 10

Posted by sonofrebel on 15th of Jan 2019 at 03:40 pm

That line goes a long way back - drawn back in November and came up on my 5 min chart almost to the tick (much to my surprise I have to admit)

Stopped on UCO there - had set stop at 25% gain so not crying over it (and had taken 1/2 off at 30%).  I snuck in earlier than daily doji but thanks for idea guys.

Brexit Vote Tuesday

Posted by sonofrebel on 11th of Jan 2019 at 08:34 am

Best "composite" source here in UK is often betting odds - currently saying most likely outcome is no exit by March and no second referendum in 2019 - suggests muddle will continue well past Tuesday (which May is odds on to loose).

I use marketSmith which has IBDs pattern recognition tool - just looked through all precious metal stocks and a lot are set up as Stage 1 buys - here are five cup & handles and one double bottom with buy points and ticker marked.  Some are thin.

Just noticed that Tony Caldaro doing some musing on possible lower lows for a 5 wave leg C on SPX on charts - 2310 & 2270 are 1.5 and 1.618 extensions of leg A.

Bulkowski has a visual guide on his web site which is a handy reference

Followed same logic for QQQs

Posted by sonofrebel on 27th of Dec 2018 at 03:55 pm

Followed same logic for QQQs - came back to 618 (almost) in falling wedge - bought at 147.58 and sold for 3.5 point gain - clear move from impulsive motion yesterday to corrective in wedge (abc as Steve posted) and then back to impulsive - measures up to 156 for a 1:1 move.
(Did not post as there was no divergence on the 5 min timeframe I was trading)

The rubber band is very stretched: I was looking at how far the indices are below the moving averages - IWM is as far below the 40 week moving average band as it usually gets - yet another statement of the obvious "we are oversold" comments - it also brought up some trendlines I had drawn quite some time in the past.  As Matt has commented, we just got there in double quick time.
