Hi all, what are considered the go to books for technical analysis? I've got the basics and have been learning a ton from the BP newsletters but also want something I can dive deeper into and reference. Thanks!

Thank you all for the info. Have been focused on just trading a couple setups the past 6 months and have done well but feel like I need to be a bit more well rounded when it comes to TA, macro econ. and def the psychological aspect of trading. Funny how when you start trading you think it’s all about tactics but quickly realize that it’s mostly all about the mental game.

exactly man - you can be the best chart technician in the word, and a shitty trader because of your mentality, lack of trade disciple and emotions, and poor money management.  You can also be a weak technician but a very good trader because you have all the mental stuff nailed down and great money management - in fact Steve and I both know a guy who is a really good trader at what he does (he found a little niche) and just focuses on that, but as a technician he pretty much sucks.  The best of course is to be well rounded and know both the technicals and have the money management and mentality nailed.  Too many guys when first starting out only focus on the technicals thinking that if they completely master the charts they will have it down - but the other side is just as important, well in reality even more so.

    I'm into math and stats

I'm into math and stats so I like the Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns as the author tries to quantify the patterns by amassing a huge group of them, then doing stats on them such as winning percentage, draw down, false breakouts etc,

There's a new version however can read the original for free! Here's a PDF, just over 1000 pages!

and one book on trading psyche, money management: such a trading in the zone, etc

and remember just being a member of BPT - just over time you learn technicals from looking at all the charts from our newsletter
