recently sold some CDE april 10 puts, too slow on NEM April
22's.
. sitting on some june covered calls on
several of the others.
keep the ideas coming please,
this is a tough market to get any decent premium on puts. ideas are
much appreciated as i'm anticipating some decent
'action'/volatility early next week.
Must be the same source that said on Friday that those Russian
speaking troops (with no insigia on their uniforms) which 'secured'
2 Crimea airports, were not Russian Army troops.
. Also Putin stated that he
will be 'observing' the status of other Russian ethnic regions in
Ukraine. fwiw, I think Putin is just getting warmed up. (other than
talk, there won't be any global obstructions to this intrusion).
good trading. FYI, i'm still buckled up waiting for that
envitable opportunity....
thinking same, sold long dated OTM covered calls on monday, just
in case. holding off on selling short puts on miners until the
'fun' is nearly over.
and i get the 'signal' from
BPT....
looking forward to a pullback. need to re-establish my short
gold/silver miner puts that expired this weekend, courtesy of BPT's
December/January GDX and gold miner insight.
thanks guys. doubt i get
the same entry though....
.
Matt/Steve + blog, really appreciate the updates on all these
begining with a more bullish tone last month. this allowed me to
increase to an overweighted position on this sector as i
substantially increased my short put exposure for Feb and March
expiry in addition to some long stock positions.
. (and i didn't let that
McClellan analog hinder me.
) good trading
in a perfect world, that's all folks, per the analog: today
is the top. should be an interesting rest of the month. remember,
it's not a perfect analog only running @ 97% for the entire period
and 97% for the last 3 months. I'm buckled up !
for entire period correlations: still showing 97%, from 10/31/13
@ 97%. rally continues another "x" trading days or so and then.....
we shall see if history either repeats itself, rhymes (watch out
below) or simply carves out a new direction. at least it's fun to
watch in real time (couldn't figure out how to add chart). good
trading
a good example of why not to get in front of this trade
before earnings. earnings guidance is for lower earnings and growth
for 2014 (none of this was unexpected). now it gets
interesting. I will monitor stock reaction today and tomorrow and
will consider an OTM short put position for monday open. (this
will also impact MOS and AGU which will need to be reviewed in this
context) good trading. Haz
as noted by pebs, it is.currently labeled 'one of the best chart
pattern summaries I've seen'. at the left of the word 'one'
you will note a yellow 'note' with a red pin in it. this is what
makes it a 'sticky note'. similiar to what one would do at home
where you would pin a note to a bulletin board. the idea of the
'note' is that Matt or Steve can remove it/update it at leisure. it
is not a 'permanent' fixture of the web page. hope that helps.

i'm seeing after the close on 2/28/14. so you have another day to play it.
GG longer term hold
Miners and daily charts suggest MACD is potentially crossing to downside and then the fun begins for shorts .

imho, cutting off these pipelines (supply to Europe) is grounds for something more than civil war.
