FYI ThinkOrSwim failed to execute a market stop order this
morning. Market opened below my stop price but trade
was not executed until 9:34:30am. If you had stops
execute this am you might want to check the execution time.
Evening Ed - The bottom of this cup is a 93% decline of the
prior run up. Bill O'Neil, who documented the cup and cup
with handle patterns, says that the bottom of the cup should be 30%
- 33% in a bull market but can be up to 50% in a bear market.
I think GBTC has some legs, but I don't think this is
a good example of a cup pattern.
Matt- I find this confusing too. What I care most
about is that I replicate the system results posted here
https://breakpointtrades.com/current_dvts. You have
stated in the past that the system statistics are based on always
stopping out at the DVT, regardless of how many DVTs there are.
I noticed that you have not updated that page to show
the DVT stop out on Oct 28th. Will you be updating the
stats to reflect that stop? If so, what price are you using
as the re-entry? If not, are the system statistics
using a consistent methodology all the way back to the start of the
stats in 2006? Thanks.

It closed inside yesterday - I think that primed the trigger. Today's close tells you which direction.

Looks like VIX is closing down from yesterday's close, so that's a long trigger, right?
