Really seems to have a high success rate...love that
trade...thanks for teaching it to us! I'll try to put it up on the
various stocks and ETFs I've been trading it on when I see it
potentially setting up...my problem is that I'm not as good at
posting and managing trades at the same time as you are!
I look at that list and marvel that institutions and individuals
are willing to pay 20% of the profits and 2% management fees for
these guys to own AAPL and MSFT and HD for them.
...and you just glanced at a screen and saw the SPX unched and
the Qs up a little and the RUT up a little more you'd just say, oh,
kind of a boring day to the upside.
the problem is I'm not like Matt and Steve -- those guys can
post with their left hands and trade with their right hands -- kind
of like great basketball players who can finish at the rim with
either hand...
There was a really nice trade in VXX and what I noticed was that
the trend line break took place just when the 60 Sto was bending up
from having been very oversold and the fast sto had successfully
backtested the 50 line and was crossing back up. The combination
made for a quick explosion to the upside. Thanks for all the
pointers -- the more I work with these stochastics the more I like
them.
I just saw this line on the SPY 60, an awful lot of touches,
broke it today, back-testing now, maybe a funky falling wedge if it
wants to reverse...also noting that the line goes all the way back
to the large gap up in early March
