Thanks for all the detail on the SPY system -- really appreciate
you taking the time to bring us into the loop as best as you
can.
Sorry about your father-in-law -- my dad had a stroke and my
mother in law had one as well -- I really know how tough it is.
Takes a toll on the family too.
I noticed some good early volume in AAPL this morning which has
tapered off, but it has stuck it's head out above the downtrend
line. Maybe it still wants to fill the gap. Something to keep an
eye on.
Yep, I keep CL up all the time and I am amazed the way even IWM
and the Qs often trade with it almost tick for tick, although not
as tightly as SPX. Good chart Matt! Right now it's the tail wagging
the dog I guess.
In the days leading up to OPEC meetings, I wonder how much money
is made by all the sovereign wealth funds, oil ministers, royal
families, dictators, etc. who trade in front of their announcements
and leaks? Must be a humongous sum. Not like those countries have
issues with insider trading! Must be part of why the charts can get
so crazy...not a good time for amateurs to be trading oil
futures!
Who knows what this will look like by morning...I wonder if
those oil ministers looked at the rising wedges
It feels like the big boys have already left town and they've left
the algos alone to play "Pivot Pong" with each other. I'm taking
off tomorrow for a nice four day weekend, but with this chop and
slop I'm thinking it might make sense to just call it a day
early.
Wishing everyone a great Memorial Day weekend whenever you start
it!

I had been watching both the 5 min and 3 min charts -- your post
was helpful because I had kind of figured that out and you cleared
it up -- funny thing is you could have triggered off the 5 min
crossing up from the 50 line or the 3 min crossing up from
somewhere above the thirty line (actually triggering on the
candles) and gotten the same entry, but they were small trades like
you said.
EDIT: Just realized that my comments won't make sense because I
was trading the TNA off the IWM chart which is where you can see
the recycle points I noted -- getting a lift now.

Quick follow up on my post from last night -- HAL and FET are up really nicely but MDR has yet to catch a bid. One to watch as a catch-up candidate.
