You could follow the paint dry system that Matt has touched on
lately in his newsletters. It's a very slow system but keeps you
out during the bad times. I think he said it would need to close
the month out before it gives an exit if the conditions are still
being met.
That's the reason I wanted some clarification because no one
else seems to be discussing this. To be honest, I didn't follow
this but sold some on my own on the rebound in futures to 5750 June
contract because of this email. I still have a couple contracts but
am trying to keep an eye on the system.
Still no update on the SPY system trade(s) tables. I see the
futures trades on reversion to mean have been updated to reflect
losses but not the Trend Pullback. I hope these trades haven't been
abandoned. Am I the only one with concerns here?
The email I got 3 days ago clearly stated that the
Trend/Pullback was exiting at the close. It remains open on the
tables. There was no mention of the reversion trades on the
nightly update either since that email. Usually these trades are at
least touched on. I mean the market is reacting to news and not
following technicals in some cases but it would be nice to have
some comment on why the systems exited when they did. (like
was it a stop situation?)
I'm counting on it; hoping for a 50% retrace to put some new
hedges on and sell my open rev to mean trades. I'm hoping at
that time, everyone will
temporarily forget the tariffs set to most likely
take affect early April.
I subscribe to a 0DTE hedgefund that collects premium daily and
although later in the afternoon we had a small loss (much smaller
than the market), we ended up with a decent gain today as some of
the "black swan event", way out of the money, puts bought in the
morning as insurance, exploded in value.
I picked some up along with a few of the other div plays you had
mentioned early on. My cb on TCPC is about 9 but still closer to
the bottom of the range vs the top. I've got OXLC, DSL and
XRMI. All doing well. I reinvest the divs when they are near the
lower end of trading ranges. Sidenote, if you reinvest divs on
OXLC, the company gives a substantial discount on the reinvest.
The best div paying play of all though has been BITO. I'm
up over 50% on that one all the while it's been paying out a huge
dividend. I know it's a futures play on bitcoin but gets the same %
movement as bitcoin. Thanks for covering that in your newsletter.
I'm benefitting from your 4th wave call on crypto.

Yeah, I hear you! BPT has been cautious so luckily I'm only 25% in the market but even that hurts.
I'm in a hedge fund that sells 0DTEs, that has done well during this route too.

Put/Call getting up into those
Mean Reversion and volatility systems

Put/Call getting up into those higher ranges usually makes for a good bounce.
I see somewhat close by gaps at 5344ish SPX and 5200ish. The 5344 is large and obvious, maybe hit that one and rebound?

Thanks Matt. Let us know if you see anything on futures either. Maybe the tariffs that just hit the wire will change things on futures.

I've been watching that big spike; I commented on it over the weekend. Guessing there is some huge hedging going on with the election.
