How do you define "confirming candle" is it just simply the next
day candle closing higher than the crossover day (bullish) or the
opposite for bearish confirm?
The renko on the GDX swing system page (setting of 0.6) has been
on a sell since 11/9. This BPGDM entry will however be better. The
renko though changes quicker and has been better triggers for the
last ~2 BPGDM trades.
My data is slightly different from yours. I have we started on
5/5 (I don't have any record of being part of the profitable 4/11
trade). So if we use the 5/5 start point, single entry system with
complete reinvestment of profits vs SPY buy&hold
5/5 trade to the 9/15 trade: SPY system = 0.72%
5/5 to 9/27 SPY buy&hold = -12.03%
Realtime as of now: SPY system = -2.46% and Buy&Hold =
-8.56%
Pablo1, just in case you don't know BPGDM is based on point and
figure chart buys/sells on each individual miner in GDX. P&F
buys/sells need a lot to move. I have seen the intraday BPGDM
change, so I believe it is automatically updated intraday.
Great thought vida. One thing that would play into the total net
profit/loss is that the new system would have been also long from
112.26 to today's 119.19 after the initial -6.5% loss.

I believe the present intraday reading shows the BPGDM will be flipping back above the 8d MA. Present reading:
Intraday (updates hourly): 63.33
8 Day Moving Average: 62.92
This may mean the GDX will go long this afternoon.
