APC short starting to work.  This is a short-term trade, I'll cover pretty quickly.

One interesting indicator is Matt's 15 minute chart with the 60, 89 and 144 stochastics.  They all crossed below 80% on that dip. 

Check out how tight the bands are on the QQQ.  Big move coming.  With things overbought, I would think that would favor a move down.  But then, I am often wrong!  Steve, your comments would be appreciated.

Yesterday APC painted a bearish engulfing candle at the end of a 4-week run.  Today it retraced to 80.84 and has begun pulling slowly off.  80.84 was, to the penny, the 61.8% retracement of yesterday's candle.  I shorted it, even though it hasn't yet broken the 9ema on the daily.  I will stop out at 80.90, i.e., if it goes above the 61.8, and reassess.  Since it's been strong, I may cover 1/2 or all the short fairly quickly.

You know, WPRT is looking really good here.  Just backtested the breakout today.  See Steve's chart (how many times do I say that?!).  Thanks morton and Steve!

at this point I would wait until a couple minutes before the close to decide whether to do anything.  See if the candle remains up, good volume, etc.

Did you see Steve's chart?  I am in from the breakout.

They announced a stock offering.  Don't these usually go up after an initial downdraft?  I cancelled my stop loss this morning when I saw how far it was down.  Only 500 shares.  Trying to decide whether to take an 18% loss or wait it out w/ an even deeper stop loss.  It's right on the 200 ma.

Oops.  Gotta stop playing these little itty bitty ones.

I started to reply that we didn't have a meaningful short signal today, but we did have a spinning top daily candle on the SPX, which is at the least a hesitation candle.  I am holding a small short w/ SDS; we'll see what happens tomorrow.

RSI 2 is 99.74.

FB is Jan 30 after the close.  I have a few calls to play any run-up.

Have had to be a bit patient with this one, but it looks like it may start working today.

Commodities in general are down.  Doesn't look to be inversely correlated w/ the dollar, so not sure why.
