Very interesting discovery. Thanks for your post. Regarding www.freestockcharts.com I had been using it for a couple of months when I discovered that the realtime data is slow in coming in or not accurate at all at times compared with my on-line broker's data. The data can be 15 or 20 seconds slow in arriving and sometimes just doesn't seem to come in for much longer periods. I would be very cautious using this for realtime trading.

I have switched to www.advfn.com and find it very accurate and much better. It costs $9.99/month for US markets realtime streaming charts, and you can open as many charts as you want in separate windows so you can view them at the same time. I would recommend using Firefox as your browser for this, as it uses much less in computer resources.

Matt, Since the system is based on 30 Min candles, and sometimes there is a signal on the last candle of the day, when would the alert email be sent out? At 3:45 PM so we can act on it before the close, or a 4:00 PM to be acted on at the open the next day? Thanks!

Not all mechanical systems require Tradestation. If you are a paying member you can see details in the Premium Content section of systems based on US stocks and ETFs which use moving averages.
