Careful on Real Estate. Yes, it will get pulled down by the
market in general, but it benefits greatly from lower interest
rates. (of course it could have been up so much because of the
anticipation of lower rates : )
I would like to suggest that, in Newsletter, Sector Updates,
that the "% G/L for Week" be changed to "% G/L trailing 7 Days".
Reason - Monday, that column has no value, Tuesday, tiny
value, etc... Thanks!
Why do these charts look so different? $NATGAS = Slight
Uptrend, UNG & BOIL = Sideways Flat Channel, FCG = Various
patterns (nothing definitive). I would imagine BOIL would
have some of its value dissolved daily with the leverage and
underlying options rolling over. But why would UNG, FCG, and
$NATGAS not look the same??
I like this definitive range bound channel on UNG, but do not
want to be Limited Partner and get a K-1, so was seeking the same
channel in ECG or BOIL.
UNG vs FCG vs $NATGAS

The failure of SVB is Good!, as it might send a message to the
Fed - "Hey Fed bozos, maybe way too fast and way too much!"
Next will be some Commercial Real Estate failures since:
almost every commercial real estate building is owned with leverage
50-60-70+% and hence, the huge "cost of goods sold" is cost of
capital, which has now way more than doubled. Imagine any
other type of business where the cost of goods sold doubles!
Commercial Real Estate transactions are almost frozen in shock
wave. Imagine a year ago paying 3% Debt to acquire a building
or adjustable loan, now paying close to 7%.
Trends and Channels: Great Post Matt! You hit an
important topic that has "plagued" me for years: 10 min Trend
is Up, 30 min Trend is Down, 2 Hour Trend is UP, and 1 Day Trend is
Down. Is it an uptrend or downtrend? You imply that you
need to establish your trading plan and style and stick to it.
That would imply that you need to select your "preferred"
timeframe, put the horse blinders on, commit to the plan for that
timeframe. . . but, hedge a bit and keep an eye on the the other
timeframes.
ASPS short or long? There was some discussion that this
is a long play, because one of their many services was foreclosure
assistance. But, I could not find info to support that.
I would think this is a short, not profitable, big run
up,...
I am shorting this. I know we go by Technical Analyis
here, so reversion to mean: ) Financials look
horrible: Annual Revenue 2018 $711m, 2019 $580M, 2020 $318m,
2021 $151m, Q2 2021 $38m, Q3 2021 $36m, Q4 2021 $34M, Q1 2022 $35m,
Q2 2022 38m and lost $13-15m every quarter.
Seems way more diversified than forclosure services:
