I trade the ES in a JT acct, SPY and leveraged per the
system in a 401K and IRA. I has missed too much by not
trading them in the past. I follow the systems and limit the amount
traded.
None. I do my own work. And would never trade ES without a stop,
anyway. Just wait for one of those several times a year
mini-crashes and you'll see why.
Do you trade ES systems using MES contracts? Is this how
stops can be placed? I haven't figured out what's involved to
do that yet. This year so far has not had mini crashes so so far so
good.....I have been trading same preplanned sized bets in IRA
successfully this year.
I trade ES, SPY, TQQQ, SQQQ, etc. using my own systems and
techniques. This is not a criticism of the systems per se. I think
Matt has the right idea of combining a lot of different strategies
and he certainly puts a lot of work into it, and shows success. But
you MUST be ready for the drawdowns. And some can be big. Or plan
to use stops. Trailing ATR and ParSar are good places to start your
research. You can google the many stop-placement strategies that
exist. Just my opinion.
I use SPY (or SH) for systems 1st entries, SDS for 2nd. I
do not have access to ES futures. I avoid options due to time
decay (and if I don't have the capital to buy shares, then I do not
take the trade vs. using options for leverage).
If I'm trading the systems and I don't trade futures, I will
still trade the ES signals but with SPY related ETF's in
substitute. By only taking the SPY signals you miss out on the
averaging and diversification effect - much of this year ES signals
have been better, not always the case, it goes back and forth,
which is why do both. again you don't need to trade futures to
follow the ES signals
Thanks Matt, so if not futures trading for ES signals, one could
use first entry SPY long /SH short, second entry SSO 2x long/SDS 2x
short, and for third entry UPRO 3x long/SPXU 3x short

I like the leveraged ETFs and MES futures for simplicity. It
just works for me. BTW, I trade around the signals too, which has
been making the signals more profitable for me. I think you can do
either and it works!

I would be interested in a tally of how many subscribers execute or do (in relation to the systems):
A) ES Futures
B) SPY Options
C) SPY
D) Leveraged ETFs (SDS, SQQQ, etc..)
