The 2hr chart for UNG with 10EMA shows price bouncing nicely and
approaching the 200SMA with a recent cross of the 20SMA and 50SMA.
Watching closely tomorrow.
Interesting, and thanks for posting. I got my ass handed
to me in a natgas trade made in Nov19 > Feb20. I have been
back in and sold UNG recently, though still holding a minor
position. In addition to the technical, there are
fundamentals that could also support the notion that NatGas will
continue to push higher. As always,a caution, there is also a
thesis that could see it test lows again (Apr 5 / 16 around
$1.50). Futures are currently continuing to support a move
higher at this time. As with so many different aspects of the
markets, unprecedented territory, have a plan, trade your plan.
Thanks Puma, hear ya, and understand that perspective. It
is similar in my sphere. The polarization of the
conversations of today in general. Whether it climate or
energy. Apparently you're not supposed to challenge the
status quo. I remember something from a long time ago, when
everybody else is thinking the same thing, someone is not
thinking. Good luck and good energy with your trading, take
care, be safe.
Thanks Steve - did my disciplined best and followed this advice
today. Feeling good about the gains since late Mar.
Thank you again for all your fabulous guidance and
thoughts/notes/ideas. Keep up the awesome work!
I went for a walk in nature yesterday and was walking along the
river. The ice had recently broke free and the river was
flowing fast. I walked past an area where there was a very
small back-eddy, a backwater reversal. I thought at the time,
that's the same as different time frame in charts. If all I
was looking at was the direction of the backflow I would not see
that the remainder of the river is actually flowing in the other
direction. Reminded me of the importance of looking at
multiple time frames depending on your objectives and risk
tolerance.
That's a good way to put it - from all the data and all the
analysis - what you expect to happen - most likely will not - and
what does happen is something you probably did not expect - hence
the advice of Matt and Steve and this site - manage your positions
in accordance with your plan and risk tolerance.
" ... when the imbalance has clear signs of improving." there is

important comment to make about oil and trading commodities in
general. Thanks Steve.
to the best of my knowledge, below $10 for KSA and above $40 for
the UK. Average is I believe in the $26 range. But there are
a lot of 'factors' that apply to the figures for each country.
That is such a good point - sometimes we have to pay attention
to what is not being said. I remember one of the best lessons
I ever learned in my trading was, it is not what you win, but what
you do not lose. take care. play safe.
