On a new STS Long, for EBAY I placed an order for the morning,
and then cancelled it. Like GDX, Ebay is not a
"trending" stock. 6 of the last 6 longs per the STS
system ending up taking a loss.
And earnings is Feb 27. The "breakout" data
is so clear, LOL, maybe a long on EBAY
means a short.....
LOL Fed Speak, Powell had an interesting interview, that YouTube
viewers (half at least) cheered the openness and honesty.
I'll pull punches on that and just shut up.
On USD sometimes the old channel line plays a part in the
future, and the 61 Fib coincides, so dollar weakness is almost
always index strength
My thoughts are lets say you want to enter a long a while after
the first STS stop was set = Start of the long, if the Demark is at
9, I wouldn't jump in right then, I would wait and see, and if its
13 I would really wait. Capite?
Matt, not sure how to read the KISS charts, is the start of the
blue line a long entry? If so GDX should not be traded using
the KISS since this would be showing 5 consecutive losses.
That said, GDX is far from an organic fractal
movements....highly manipulated.
That sounds like the perfect sentiment to have a decent pullback
like 10%. I have been flat on trades since December
when I just wanted to focus on real life....I regret that, and want
to jump in. Use me as your signal, I can be perfectly
wrong when I just make a call that seems to make sense.
But i do believe, that 40% of the money we send to any other
country comes back to USA, laundered as stocks and futures.
That will keep the energizer bunny going...so we will see.
I was shocked when Gold rocketed above 2000, that seems to be
"their line in the sand"
They sure slapped it down hard.....they hate real money, they
want you using their Fiat money, and soon they will want you using
their electronic money where you can be made a non-person at the
stroke of key, or even at the Whim of an AI if you step outside the
"Overton Window" in your comments on social media.
I posit that eventually they will lose control of their ability
to manipulate the price of real gold via all the fake gold, when
that happens it will rocket to 5000 or more. We should
file a RICO action against this manipulation.
Matt, The divergence is clear, can you draw any conclusions from
this maybe with historical perspective? I did put in more
time than I thought to download the data (goes back to 2007 someone
back calculated the Vix of the Vix, aka VVIX). Spreadsheet
is here for any intrepid analyst to add the SPX on the second left
side axis, and zoom in to tighter timeframes. The
recent sharp move up in the VVIX / VIX ratio does not look
unprecedented. I did some offset averages and didn't
really see anything compelling.
I think it depends a lot on the dollar, which has fallen 61 to
50% Fib of its last rise depending on what you are looking at...if
there is more downside to the dollar, equities should have a tail
wind up. But if the USD drop is over, all issues will
be challenged

Demark is a whole tech theory, but basically stocks run up or down 9 steps, and then often turn around, but sometimes they run 13 steps
