Somebody asked what was the backing of crypto currencies?  That's easy, tulips.

The Ghost of Fed Day past

Posted by skyfish on 25th of Dec 2015 at 12:02 am

Twas the night before Fed Day, and under the rug,

Not a trader was stirring, not even a gold bug.

The stock orders were placed on the charts with care

In exuberant hopes that Saint Ben soon would be there.

The Kids all snug in their beds,

While visions of iphones danced,

In their heads.

And Mamma with her Dell and I with my Mac,

Had just steeled our brains for another gold whack.

Then out of the blue there arose such a clatter,

I sprang to my screens to see what was the matter.

All over the windows a red blink and a flash

I tore open the alarms and then through up in the trash.

The hand of the Fed was striking the blow,

Taking luster from 401s and objects below.

When what to my eyes should appear,

But a miniature helicopter and eight tiny marketteer.

With a little old driver so kingly and then,

I knew in a moment it must be Saint Ben.

More rapid then JDAMs his minions they came,

And he whistled and shouted and whipped them by name.

Now Kent!  Now Stumpf!  Now Pelosi and Geither!

On Blankfein!  On Feinstein!  On Baucus and Boxer!

To the top of the chart!  To the back of the vault.

Now stash away, stash away, stash away without halt.

Swept to the cliff the wild screams  let fly,

Then over the edge, no foot hold in the sky,

So down to the rescue the corsairs they flew

With boat loads of bank notes and Saint Ben too.

And then in a twinkling I heard in my mind,

The pontificating and pronouncing of each talking behind.

With hands to my head to stop it spinning around,

Down with a Para shoot Saint Ben came with a bound.

He was dressed all in Gucci from his head to his foot,

With silk tie, gold cufflinks and shiny black boot.

A bundle of C notes he had flung on his back,

And he looked like a banker just opening his sack.

His eyes like a shark and knowing net worth,

he scanned all investments, including rare earth.

His droll little mouth was drown back as to bite,

And the white stubble on his chin made him look a great height.

Every ear did stretched to hear what he might say,

As the only man who could destroy the economy in a day.

For what ever he said from here to New Delhi

Would shake the world markets like a bowl full of jelly.

He was slender and slim, a right dour old elf,

And I gasped when I saw him in spite of myself.

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had everything to dread.

He spoke not a word but went straight to his work

And drained all the bond funds, then with a jerk,

And pointing a finger at the end of my nose,

And giving a nod, up the sky he then rose.

They scampered away with the speed of a missile

As if they heard some one blowing the whistle.

But I heard him exclaim as they fled out of sight.

Think what you want but there’s nothing you can indict.

Free Silver

I have noticed whenever the Northwest territorial mint is offering free silver when you buy, the price of silver seems to go down.  The incentives to unload it were a lot more a few months ago.

Any roomers of a buy out or merger?

The best thing  I learned in the tutorials was to stay behind the bus and raise short triggers and not running in front of the bus trying to pick tops and getting run over.
