We are near a trendline around 22.40 so will be interesting to see if a bounce occurs.
Makes sense. Eldorado missed and got creamed the last three days down 34% so far. Glad I was not holding that one.
So I sold 90% of my gold stocks over the last couple of days.
GDXJ has a weekly coil that may be breaking down.
A pseudo wedge for GDX. I am not very confident in this one.
Measures 60 to 65 cents higher.
Buying HQD.TO (not very liquid though)

Nice coil pattern, but watch out for the open gap below.
Needs more volume.
The futures show nice Macd divergence on a 2hr chart, while GLD doesn't.
Wedge is also clearer on the futures chart. Also notice the GDX:GLD ratio is starting to cross up.
Possible support area for ABX, though the sector looks pretty weak right now so it may break down.

If this is true, should put pressure on precious metals. (Sold my stocks today)

On news the mining construction permit has been approved for Ana Paula project.
Looks like inverse cup and handle to me.
Would be bearish for the markets if it plays out over time.
Chart is on the TSX. I think this is one of Steve's trade ideas.
If this is correct, could give pms a boost soon. FOMC minutes could be the trigger one way or the other.
