July 2013:Meanwhile, more mainstream calls to sell gold stocks
have popped up and during what likely will be exactly the most
inopportune time to sell.

Thanks sbaxman. Very solid looking system. I like the fact
that you use a 4-7 indicators to reduce the risk and create high
probability trades. I have added this one to my toolbox and
have taken a VIX long trade via HVU.

Steve/Matt, The $BPENER chart you posted a while back has played
out exactly as it did in Aug-Oct 2011. Would this be a good
place to take a long on ERX?

I was watching the gold futures last night and right at 12:00
they dropped $10, attempted to rally failed and then at 1:30 they
spiked into positive territory and continued higher. When ever you
get a big move up after such a large drop, you have to assume it's
short covering. This is why you wait for a higher low before taking
a swing. GDX and GDXJ sliced through their 9 EMA while gold almost
touched it. This may be all it's got which is why is sold my
juniors at today.
This is the $VIX chart that Steve had in a weekend news letter.
Note that 4 days after a bullish 13/34 cross the VIX puts in a
bottom and reverses up. This is a very profitable trade using

I wouldn't place too much emphasis on the Commercial Short
positions as you can see by the chart. I've overlaid the price of
silver above the Commercial net positions for the last year. Silver

VIX at 12 again
Possible Long volatility/Short RUT trade today
Posted by praetor54 on 16th of Jul 2015 at 03:23 pm
The VIX is down around 12 where it bottomed May 26th and June 24th. Looks like a good spot to take a quick VXX or HVU trade.
Thanks sbaxman
Lower lows for GOLD, who knows?
Sees lower lows for GOLD then ?

Did the $BPENER Renko-SAR system get a buy signal today? Or does it need one more SAR bar to confirm?
SHLD a RTM trade
SHLD a reversion to the mean trade?
Posted by praetor54 on 15th of Jun 2015 at 11:45 pm
I would say yes. Need to take back 50% of last candle. Currently 18% below 9 EMA, therefore a very good return if it plays out.

9 days up and 9% above the 9 EMA. This one's ripe for RVTM.

I don't trust the COT numbers. It's all based on self reporting by the brokers. J.p. Morgan was charged recently with miss reporting http://www.cftc.gov/PressRoom/PressReleases/pr6968-14
