Thnx Steve-  are there any technical generalities that can said about"v" bottom rallies on any time frame ?

on APPL 15 min. chart "v" bottom /sharp rebound- prone to re-test? 

Matt/Steve- seem to recall with these sharp rebound patterns- you like to see a re-test or at least a lower low put in& held?   do you think this sharp reversal off a v bottom has potential to  sustain a significant rally on APPL  ?  wondering about that overall as a pattern--- thnx

speaking of Euro Pacific fund- - their CEO Peter Schiff has been on  Breakout past few days- big believer in gold

thinks the real fiscal cliff will be in Obama's 2nd term-- in the form of  a US currency crisis- same thing as what's happening in Europe & Greece, but much worse. 16 Trillion debt is tip of the iceberg he says & he predicts raging inflation. Inflation with the money printing is already here he say & Bernake's " neutral inflation"  is a lie.

AMZN-  after big sell off-- nice recovery today- miss on earnings was mostly due to expansion capex for future growth I read- market seeing that as positive here

QQQs    lod here 63.35-- is that a bad tick?? Steve/Matt  what's your take on that print?

Fidelity also shows lod on Qs as 63.35 !

No  big update for now- advisory is to be vigilant for next few days

AMZN- ER highlights

AN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc reported a big quarterly net loss on Thursday as the world's largest Internet retailer spends heavily to expand existing operations and develop new businesses.

Amazon said its third-quarter net loss was $274 million, or 60 cents a share, versus net income of $63 million, or 14 cents a share, in the third quarter of 2011.

Part of the loss related to an impairment charge from Amazon's investment in daily deal company LivingSocial.

Third-quarter revenue was $13.81 billion, up 27 percent from a year earlier, Amazon also said.

3 pattern push question-  Steve & Matt- when is this pattern confirmed?  I am looking at ITW  & it does have 3 pushes-- but sometimes the more touches on a trendline- the more likely it is to break out or break down.   So what confirms a 3 pattern push- is it only a rear view mirror call ?  thnx
