Schedule D software - I've been using TradeLog (it's not cheap)
but worth every cent. Trade using StreetSmart Pro (Schwab), go
online with Schwab and export my trades then do an import into
TradeLog. TradeLog will construct the Schedule D (with wash sales)
and I give the forms to my accountant.

Just an fyi, bottom of Newsletter you have posted for the QLD
mechnical trading EMA's of 9/39 - I believe the correct settings
are 10/49, which are what you have within the Mechnical System
link. Thank

I agree, and like Matt's mechanical systems, but I keep an
additional window open with $DJR when trading SRS. Today it wanted
to hold 100 and did so throughout the day. Have been away for
several months nice to be back.

Interesting - you have on your 5 min chart EMA settings of 18
and 24 and 16/34 EMA settings on the 15 min chart. This is my
settings, it came close but no crossover.
In the last 15minutes did get a crossover on DIG on the 5min
chart.

try using Matt's 18/24 on the 5min chart it's smoother - less
trades. I also use 16/34 on the 15 min chart. I might still
make a trade intraday before they cross but I'm not aggressive with
the trades.

I have the book "encyclopedia of Chart Patterns" by Bulkowski.
Anyone have a book to recommend on intraday (day trading)
technicals/patterns general trading info.
The one thing that I have done that has really helped - is to
reduce the number of trades I make. I try and wait for the best
setup and not rush into a trade - still a work in progress.

Not sure if I'd be buying retail but perhaps M (Macy's) looks interesting. Looks like bull flag and pays a nice dividend.
