Any long trades in the Spy systems?

SPY Ver 2

Hey Matt,

Basket Trades for the mechanical systems shows SPY Ver 2 is still long from 6/4.  Is that still true?

I wonder why Tradestation was not able to recognize a morning star at close of business yesterday.  There wasn't a lot of fluctuation in price at the close.  Thankfully there was only a 10cent difference in re-fill price this time.

Hey Matt, somewhat confused on the second scale in for SPY Ver 2. Overview says "The 2nd scale in has to be 0.5% better than the first entry price for Longs"

1st entry price was 210.13 *.995 equals 209.08.

That is 1/2% lower than entry right meaning the second scale in would have been yesterday at the close?  Am I reading this right?

Wouldn't it be below 209.08?

Any chance today is an "early entry signal" for Spy Pro?

Don't forget the system scales

Dumb question?

Don't forget the system scales out of it's position in 20% increments.  That may be the difference you are seeing.

Does it look like BP MA Deluxe will turn positive so we hold longer?

looks like the average annual return for the non-scaleout version is 36.4% while the two scale-in is 29.5%.

Largest loosing trade is 3361 versus 2363 respectively.

Thank you Matt!

This is why I was confused:

"For these systems, the RSI 2 needs to close below 10%, so that's easy to follow on your side, simply place a 2 length RSI on a daily chart of SPY and DVY and if it closes below 10%, these two systems will go long"

I'm confused, the 2-period RSI closed under 10.  Why would the SPY RSI2 system not triffer.

Hi Matt,

This system looks very interesting, especially when shorting is considered.  Does your analysis determine the maximum drawdown while in a position?

Thanks!
