POMO stands for Permanent Open Market Operations, and usage of
the acronym has carried over to the more recent
operations, Tentative Outright Treasury Operations. It
might be more apropriate to adopt the new acronym TOTO to reflect
what the Fed has done to the economy. "We are not in Kansas
anymore, Toto."

The reaction time of markets to POMO money is spread over
three to four days, according to an analysis I read in the last six
weeks, may have been Decision Point/Tom McLellan? Did a
quick web search to re-locate it, but came up empty handed.
The gist of it, though, is that the market reaction is there and
measurable, but not direct, day by day and billion dollars by
billion dollars. And of course, the effect can be over-ridden by
extraordinary news events.

Gee....I thought this might spark a debate about who gets the
parachute and who gets the crane! At any rate, the guy with the
parachute must be in quite some shape to survive such a
g-force.....or did he survive? Must have been quite a feeling
watching that weight come down!

I would welcome expanded info on money management.
Being a novice trader, I have made my share of uninformed newbie
mistakes. Despite those gaffs, BPT has helped me recover from
previous losses (aka Prechter Profits, LOL), and I look forward to
BPT continuing to improve the excellent value it offers. Thank you,
Matt and Steve, for a prosperous year. Thanks also to the good
posts by members Rank 10, Ditch, Mamaduck and others.
