When I was daytrading, I would use all the setups(charts patterns and indicators) that we find here at BPT. The defference was, I would trade off the 5min chart and use the 1min charts to give me a "heads up", they tend to tell you what's coming in the longer term chart.

I use margin. In a daytrade I figured my risk was reduced because I was only exposed for a short period of time, usually not more than a few hours and NEVER OVERNIGHT!

Thanks I'd like to clarify that

I too am a 6 month "special".

I have made many thousands of $$ with setups just like these. The RSI, MACD, STOCHS, VOLUME, etc... These setups work. I buy an initial(tiny) position when the short term charts breakout, if the rally continues I average in very quickly until I have a full position at or near the "breakpoint" and watch it like a hawk. My agressiveness comes in when I achieve full margin in one major ETF, spyders or Q's. I ride it through the minor waves until we start getting overbought or oversold(witch ever the case). I take profits rapidly.

Then I sit and relax and rest and let my heart rate get back to normal for a couple days or weeks, while I prepare to enter in the other direction.

I have found there are as many different trading styles as there are traders. You have to find your own. I condider myself lucky to have discovered these guys because they are just like me. It's kind of unbelievable.

I'm tired of reading scads of information and screening for setups and listening to the news and trying to keep a good perspective all the while still working to make a living. This site is worth it. Like I said, I'm tired of reading and their audio passages have been THE big defference.

I'm PUMPED!

How will the recent weakness in the USO effect the U3O8 miners, given the noted bid under the uranium spot price?
