Try this, Make a
few 10 day charts of the system since March 10th. Then mark on the
signal days, the price level which you believe would have been an
objective entry price. Finish each trade at the EOD, say 3:45pm. Do
this for all the trades since Mar 10th. Start with a hypothetical
amount say... 10% of your trading account. Use 50% margin and
compound including your profits on each new trade. Do all the paper
trades including Friday's beauty 19% short. Calculate all the
dollars earned and the percentages. I guarantee the result will
help you with your decision.

Matt,
SPX 60 MIN 7/21
That was an awsome profit on the March 10th "buy". Am now
beautifully positioned "short" for a re-test of the early March
lows. Monday should be an exciting session. Watch them
whipsaws!

I have committed to the SPX 60MIN 7/21EMA SWING SYSTEM. It
am happy with. The strategy I use is aggrasive however, the SPX
60MIN has increased my trading account by 50% since the
beginning of last week.
It chose it because I too still have a fulltime job. The system
demands a little less of my time but produces robust profits in
this environment. Less whipsaws, less trading, longer holding times
and large profits.
I have considered getting a mobile device but, at this time
still don't need it.

Backed up the truck at 50% margin on the morning of March 10th.
I use the Canadian Horizon Beta Pro S&P 500 Bull Plus (x2) ETF.
Symbol HSU.TO. It has afforded me a profit of 35%+/- . Less
trading, longer holding periods, less whipsaws, larger profits per
trade........ I don't know... sells itself!

rp, i typically add on breakouts which i didn't do this morning
because of the neg divergences. i see a bearish wedge on the 60min.
i may have been a little tight with my partail sale, but i simply
must lighten up. having said that a little intraday support right
in here would be welcome and I'm not opposed to chunking in for a
daytrade:)

Matt, this would support the idea you had earlier for the 38ish
target, on a bounce in the GDX. -BTW... I sold my
GG and some other gold stocks when you got stopped out a few weeks
ago. I avoided damage to my accounts!!! I bought the flag on DZZ
and sold it half way up, very nice!

I agree, stay humble. Share your conquests here, not with your
friends and neighbours, you may begin to feel important. Have a
small celebration. Take the wife out to dinner and a good bottle of
wine. Keep it simple. But, keep that money! Do not let the market
have it back! It's yours now! Forever!
I'm not saying you should suspend your trading, but that 40%
into perspective. If you do half that well in just 2 more trades by
the end of the year, you'll have doubled your money in 2008. Not to
shabby in a year where most investors will have lost... big
time!
