IYR (US real estate) has been struggling to get above its 76.4%
retracement of the last decline. I've been nibbling on some shorts
here each time we get a shooting star-like candle. It's stronger
than most indices, but if we're not going to make a new high (which
we very well might), then it does make sense that we could turn
down from this level. If not, I can always have a stop above the
August highs.

Just a reminder that Cyber Monday (today) is likely the best
Stockcharts.com renewal deal
that you'll get, which is 3 free months for a 12 month
subscription. I generally renew today regardless of how close/far I
am to my renewal date (unless I have over a year, then I will
renew next Cyber Monday).

Question for the group: Does anyone know why my
Stockcharts.com charts
usually show more daily volume than my IB or TS data feeds?
For instance, PEP today shows 5.27 mil on Stockcharts.com,
but 2.94 mil via IB. (Some of my systems rely on volume, so the
lower numbers are throwing them off.)

Took partial profits on my SPY shorts (tightened stops on the
rest) since we pretty much closed the gap. Also, we hit the
38.2% retracement of the rally that started late yesterday and
ended this morning. Also IWM currently re-testing its broken
trendline.

Here's something weird that I noticed: All of my profits
yesterday were from longs (big down day), and all my profits today
were from shorts (big up day). Still made money, but something
tells me that I still trade with a bit of a bias. :p

@ mla217 - I'm hoping we make it to that 2nd IWM 60 min
resistance on your chart. With a near-equivalent move on the $SPX,
that would make today's move up symmetrical with the Oct 23rd
rally, hit the 38.2% retracement from the Oct 17 peak, AND hit the
61.8% retracement from the Oct 23rd peak. (In other words, watch
the 2,714/2,715 area :). We'll see if we make it though...

Me too. KO was a great day trade. As usual, I sold a bit early,
but these days I think I'd rather err on the side of caution.
Also managed to execute a trade in the middle of a webinar (I
was presenting). Made more money than they paid me for the webinar
lol
