iphone vs blackberry storm

Posted by helonwheels on 15th of Dec 2009 at 05:22 pm

Considering buying a smartphone for trading when I'm not home.  I've been told that the blackberry storm has a more secure platform but has a tendency to lock up.  However the iphone is supposedly a nicer phone to use.  Does anyone have any recommendations or comments.  Please send me a PM.

    TIA

    Thanks everyone for your comments

The only problem is you have to use ATT to get the iPhone.  They have terrible coverage.  Verizon is supposed to be doing a deal to get it....was supposed to be early 2010.  However, it looks like it will now be delayed (Verizon and Apple unable to come to a deal) and TMobile might actually get the iPhone first.  Don't know about their coverage.....but I don't think anyone beats Verizon.

I have had a storm for the past year I have had minor issues with a lockup on occasion but with the latest release of the firmware it has been pretty stable. You may concider getting the Storm 2 because the processor is faster and it has more memory.  The downfall to me for the Iphone is AT&T I think their coverage is bad

If you are with Ameritrade they provide an application from a third party called Istockmanager which works on both the Storm and Iphone I trade on it all the time when I'm on the road.

    Best of luck!
