Silver always lags gold's initial move. I see this year after
year. When gold goes up and makes spectacular moves, then silver
rallies but not nearly as much. But then eventually, if gold's
rally continues to persist, then silver has a rocket ride as it
plays catch up at the end (while gold does little). Then those
people who were wondering why silver was underperforming then
wonder why silver is doing so well. This is also called by some
silver confirming gold's move. Unless we get a confirmation
eventually with silver matching gold's pace to some degree (or
exceeding it for a while), then it could be that we get a
correction in gold. Silver therefore often offers traders a second
chance. We'll have to wait and see if it happens this time.

Dear Matt:
If gold is breaking out to new highs, why is silver, golds cousin so far behind?
Thank you.

So, if someone wanted to

So, if someone wanted to take advantage of that "second chance" what would they look for?
It would be purely based

It would be purely based on silver's technicals or silver stock technicals that one would look for opportunities (bullish setups and such).
