Does anyone use stops with the Mechanical Systems or just wait
for the MAs to cross as the "get out" point? I'm always
nervous so I'd feel "naked" without a stop!

the stop is built in on most EOD systems, next cross or EOD,
swing systems the same thing, using stops will hurt you unless a
specific systems has one in the instructions

if you have the ability to optimize and backtest your strategy like with tradestation i would go ahead and put one in.
I am trading the URE and the SRS based on the SRS swing 2 crossovers and I have optimized my stategies over the past 4 months to include stops
