I will probably release a GDX pivot swing system, the profit
curve is very nice! the average time in a trade is just over
4 days, which is nice.
Howeverit's based
on default pivot strategies that are in Tradestation, NOT moving
averages, therefore
it's probably only useful
to those of you with Tradestation. Also you can't
always short GDX in Tradestation, I use Tradebullet to get around
that; it sends the orders to my IB account. I've generally
found that moving average systems don't work that well on GDX,
that's why I never released a MA system for it, but this pivot
strategy is pretty good.
I'm about to subscribe to Multicharts. Am I right in
assuming that the default pivot strategies in Tradestation are
either in, or transferable to, Multicharts? Also, would
setting up this system require programming?
